Charles Leickert (1816–1907) was a Dutch-Belgian painter best known for his exquisite landscapes and cityscapes, particularly those depicting winter scenes. Born in Brussels, Leickert moved to Amsterdam at a young age, where he studied under prominent artists such as Bartholomeus van Hove, Wijnand Nuijen and Andreas Schelfhout. It was Andreas Schelfhout in particular who had a dominant influence on his work.
