Have you received our latest newsletter with this rare poudreuse with stunning marquetry? This elegant transition poudreuse dates ca 1775 and has stunning marquetry inlay with intricate geometric and pictorial designs, including urns, drapery motifs, and classical scenes. It stands on cabriole legs with gilded bronze mounts, emphasizing its sophisticated craftsmanship. The top with beveled corners is provided with a special marquetry of a bust on a jug-shaped stand flanked by various vases and jugs under an arch crowned by a canopy with draperies. The top consists of three parts; both sides can be folded open under which a green upholstered compartment.
