New in the collection is this rare pair of Dutch silver biscuit-boxes.

What makes these biscuit boxes especially remarkable is that both are fitted with a so-called ‘snor’, the mustache—the characteristic wavy decoration on the edge of the lid.

This mustache is rare and occurs exclusively on biscuit-boxes from Utrecht, giving these examples a unique place within Dutch silversmithing.

Additionally, they stand out for their beautiful, thick beaded edges, which underscore the craftsmanship of Utrecht silversmiths from the early 19th century.
